KURANDA ROOTS FESTIVAL – REGGAE IN DA RAINFOREST
Kuranda Roots, now in it’s 12th year will be back at the Billabong from June 12-13. The festival is part of an exciting Far Northern festival circuit that lures an influx of people from interstate, starting at Happy Daze (May 29) in Mackay, Kuranda Roots, Laura Dance Festival (June 20-22) and culminating in Bushweek (June 23-29) in Rossville. The festival pilgrimage takes in a diverse variety of music styles and cultural performances set against the stunning backdrop of Queensland’s East coast, including the fascinating cave country of Cape York and lush tropical rainforest of the coastal ranges.
CAMPERS – there’s toilets and showers in the campground. Be respectful of your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. There’s also plenty of food and drink stalls inside the festival and a regular shuttle bus into the village.
TICKETS – Available March 21 from www.rudekatrecords.com, Shiva Moon, Cairns Happy Herb store, Shi Sha Beads, Sweet Leaf Cafe and Fetish 4 Life.
